foldingmetal.com is run by Objective Improvement (Bespoke Respoke LLC, Washington, USA). This page explains what happens to your data when you use the tool. There are no accounts, payments or newsletters.
Your files
When you upload a DXF, it is sent to our cloud storage and processed there to produce your preview and output. Files are stored under a random name, used only to produce your result, never shared or sold, and deleted automatically after 1 day. Our processing logs keep the file name, the option values you entered and summary information about the drawing (such as how many entities and layers it has) so we can fix problems and see which features are used.
Please don’t upload drawings you aren’t permitted to share with an online service.
Analytics and logs
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see, in aggregate, how the tool is used. It sets cookies in your browser. We don’t use it for advertising. You can block it with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out add-on. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type and time of visit) for security.
Affiliate links
The “Support this Site” link in the footer is an Amazon affiliate link. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We don’t learn who you are from Amazon.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, or to object to how we use it. Contact us and we’ll help. Because there are no accounts, we may ask for the stored file name from your session to find a file. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
