Terms of Use
By using foldingmetal.com you agree to these terms. The site is run by Bespoke Respoke LLC, doing business as Objective Improvement, in Washington, USA. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Check before you cut
The generated geometry is a starting point only. You must check every output before cutting, bending or using any part. Cutting and forming metal is dangerous. We give no engineering advice, and the output is not certified for structural, safety-critical or load-bearing use. You are responsible for the parts you make.
The service
foldingmetal.com is a free beta tool that turns the bend lines in a DXF drawing into slot, tab and notch cut patterns. It may contain bugs, and we may change, limit or stop it at any time.
Your files
You keep all rights to the files you upload and the output made from them. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service, and you confirm you have the right to upload them.
Acceptable use
Don’t upload unlawful content or malware, don’t try to disrupt, overload or break into the service, and don’t send files in bulk with scripts without asking us first.
Links and affiliate disclosure
We link to other sites we don’t control. The “Support this Site” link is an Amazon affiliate link. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
No warranty, limited liability
THE SERVICE AND ITS OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost material, parts, profits or data, arising from your use of the service or its output. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us, which is zero. Nothing here limits rights that can’t be limited under the consumer law of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts there, unless your local consumer law says otherwise.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will post the new version here with a new date. Questions: use the contact form.
